Essential Job Functions |
Responsible for the organization's financial management and business affairs.
Supervises the Student Health billing specialist.
Assists billing specialist with coding and billing duties, and oversees departmental billing and coding practices.
Provides personnel support for the section managers within Student Health.
Maintains expertise needed for the implementation of the mandatory student health insurance plan and mandatory state requirements for immunization records.
In addition, provides Administrative Assistant support to the Administrative Director of Student Health Services and programs for the Student Health Services in order to allow more time for the Director of Student Health Services to handle medical administrative issues, patient care and other related problems.
This position will administer all aspects of the P-Card; generate monthly departmental fund activity reconciliation reports; process travel requests and contracts.
Provide logistical support.
Responsible for gathering, organizing, and presenting data for reports and assessment; Tracks office supply inventory, order necessary office and program materials and supplies.
Performs other duties as required by the Director and staff members within the unit. |
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position |
- Knowledge of the Banner, Microsoft, Google Apps for Ed, Aim, Works P-card and Yo-Mart systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in records management, verify and reconcile financial data, and maintain personnel and payroll records.
- Detail-oriented and capable of productive, independent work.
- Ability to work in and contribute to a diverse, collegial, and professional environment with a variety of campus constituents.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Prefer budget and accounting experience;
- two years or more of experience with medical practice management and electronic medical record systems;
- good verbal and written communication skills;
- strong ability to maintain a calm and focused presence during stressful situations involving students, parents, staff or other individuals..

Pay will be commensurate with applicant competencies, budget, equity and market considerations.
