Join Our Team as a Supply Chain & Logistics Intern!

Are you passionate about supply chain and production? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our Franklin Global Transportation & Logistics function. As a Supply Chain & Logistics Intern, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

As a Supply Chain & Logistics Intern, you will support the logistics team in optimizing supply chain operations. Your role will involve assisting with inventory management, scheduling shipments, and analyzing logistics data to identify areas for improvement. You will collaborate with vendors, prepare necessary documentation, and contribute to process enhancement initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in logistics, providing valuable insights into supply chain management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist with Planning and Scheduling: Support the logistics team in planning and scheduling inventory and production.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Help manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of stock.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Reporting: Generate and manage reports related to logistics performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).



What you'll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements ( To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):



  • Must be in good standing as a student at the Bachelor's degree level at an accredited university majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field and returning to school full-time at the end of the internship.
  • Comfortable commuting and working onsite at S&C Electric Company in Franklin, WI. located at 5251 W Franklin Dr, Franklin, WI 53132.
  • Ability to work Full-Time in Summer 2025 for a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.



Preferred:



  • Prior manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or related internship experience a plus



Major Physical Demands:



  • Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 40 lbs.
  • Walking: Frequent walking of short distances to obtain parts for assembly.
  • Carrying: Occasional carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
  • Pushing: Occasional pushing of handcart to/from assembly area containing up to 50 lbs.
  • Pulling: Occasional pulling of handcart to/from assembly area containing up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required to complete the assembly/wiring tasks.
  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts (all sizes) along with a variety of hand tools.
