Job description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies, to ensure fast and efficient data processing.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals, portfolio managers, and analysts to understand data requirements and implement database solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data integration processes for importing, transforming, and exporting data across multiple systems.
  • Implement and maintain data security protocols in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide support for data-related issues, troubleshooting, and resolution of SQL Server performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across the investment management systems.
  • Participate in the development of reporting solutions using SSRS, SSIS, or other reporting tools.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in SQL Server and database development.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Developer.
  • Proven experience in the investment management industry, with a solid understanding of financial instruments, portfolio management, and investment operations.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server (2016 or higher) and T-SQL.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning, optimization, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex queries.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
