Contractor Sales Manager

Location: Minneapolis/St. Paul

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Standard business hours plus necessary travel and entertainment

What You'll Do

As the Contractor Sales Manager for the Twin Cities market, this position is responsible for managing and growing sales and profit among electrical contractors in the market. This will be accomplished by hiring, training, coaching and menoring sales associates as well as aligning sales resources to effectively grow market share and account penetration based on customer personas.

You will...



  • Direct engagement with sales team to include sales meetings, joint calls, large opportunity strategy. Signficant time will be spent in the field with sales associates.
  • Develop and execute sales plans for market share growth
  • Hire, train, and coach sales team associates and managers
  • Foster and grow relationships with accounts key to the market.



What You Bring...

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sales experince
  • Past experience with electrical distribution preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and ability to manage financial performance
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to travel to other Viking Electric, customer and vendor locations



Salary Range for this position: $113,000 - $155,000 plus annual STI Bonus opportunity of 30%
