The Production Control Analyst Senior will assume direct responsibility to plan, design, develop and deploy efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions, coordinate the use of the universal Scheduler and file movement software to support business processes which run on all IBM on Power Systems/Operations (Core), Windows (Voyager, All pro and other critical applications), and UNIX (Data Warehouse/Data Mart), environments ensuring accuracy and completeness of all assigned operational tasks and procedures.

This person will,

  • Coordinates scheduling activities by utilizing our enterprise scheduling software (which including having advanced knowledge in the Enterprise scheduler). This includes interfacing the enterprise scheduling software with key systems such as the Extraction/Transform/Load (ETL) data Warehouse tool and all operating platforms (including IBM, Windows, and UNIX).

  • Coordinates activities concerning file movement which run thru Momentum, and SFTP systems which SMT supports/monitors (which including having advanced knowledge in the file Movement software).

  • Monitors/enhances the viability of SMT SOP procedures. Oversees the automation of SMT procedures, including the ability to script processes - striving to automate manual processes. Research, recommend, plan, design, and deploy new and existing SMT process enhancements to support key business requirements. Able to document medium to complex system flows.

  • Identify and quickly resolve SMT issues by performing a root cause analysis to ensure that any problems that develop are not going to reoccur.

  • Provides off hours on-call support for SMT owned applications/processes. This also includes the coordination of Business Resumption/Disaster Recovery for SMT owned applications and Core. Perform Computer Operator II job responsibilities and other duties when required/assigned. Takes the lead within SMT during impacting events. Ensures SMT operations continues normally in the absence of the SMT Manager.

  • Develop and execute formal test plans that fully test all business requirements using established testing methodology. Utilize automated testing tools when appropriate to allow more efficient regression testing.

  • Automate business application functions through Business Solution partnerships and ongoing communications along with review and analysis of individual SMT functions always looking out for possible process improvements.

  • Proactively develops communication with vendor support and vendor documentation to ensure our knowledge of vendor identified issues and releases and partner with them to ensure adherence to our change control and testing standards.

Requirements
Education

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience Required

Experience

  • 5-7 years Information Technology and computer operations and scripting. Required

  • 7-10 years Computer operations Preferred

  • 3-5 years Using and/or supporting BMC Control-M and Momentum software. Scripting processes. Preferred
