Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Titusville, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The machinist is responsible for producing machined aircraft/aerospace parts and components, which conform to design configuration and specifications by programming, setting up, and operating a manual or CNC machine.
  • This position maintains quality and safety standards, keeps records, and maintains equipment and supplies.
  • Sets up, operates, and monitors CNC, NC, manual, and other related equipment to accomplish the needed operations as defined by the work instruction, routing, or print.
  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Utilizes ISO-compliant documentation or processes to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures specified holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, sanders, drill presses, computerized engraving machines, and riveting machines.
  • With supervision, calculates and sets controls to regulate specified machining factors such as speed, feed, depth, and angle of cut or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
  • Starts and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or media as needed.
  • Verifies conformance of finished first article workpiece to specifications and conducts subsequent inspection of workpieces by the machine shop's statistical process control (SPC) inspection system.
  • Confers with a lead person, machine shop supervisor, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Verifies dimension and alignment of assembly; fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
  • Approve setup, move material, and ensure that machines are safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Possessing being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.

Pay: $18.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Temp to Direct.

  • Able to write a basic program and edit/modify an existing program using Fanuc controls.
  • Machinists can calculate speeds and feeds for various materials.
  • Understanding of EHS requirements and workplace safety is needed.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety glasses and close-toed shoes are mandatory in the shop areas.
  • The team member is frequently exposed to a shop environment.
