Full Time 40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Remote, onsite required per business needs Summary: The Associate Project Manager provides project support and assistance to the project manager (PM) for large projects and process improvements to ensure project objectives are met. This position will also manage small projects independently. Responsibilities:
1. Assists with contract negotiation and compliance.
2. Assist with estimation of budget or effort if required, and works with other leaders to collect and incorporate their budget or effort estimates
3. Assists with determining resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications.
4. Manages small project independently, tracks action items, issues and status with responsibility for meeting deadlines.
5. Provides meeting and project plan support and guidance to other team members, as required.
6. Assists with planning and scope for all project phases and components.
7. Works with project teams to define testing plans and to help organize testing phases and cycles if testing is required.
8. Assists with developing and updating monthly dashboards
9. Assists team members with ongoing processes and special projects as assigned.
10. Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital I.S. Division and I.S. interoperability issues and opportunities.
11. Utilizes project management software and tools. Assists with maintaining PPM system
12. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Experience in project management methodology and tools is preferred.
2. Experience managing small projects independently is required.
3. Experience assisting in or leading contract negotiations is preferred.
4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Project management software is required.
Education and Experience 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
2. Certification: Project Management Institute (CAPM) certification preferred.
3. Years of relevant experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in Project Management is preferred.
