SUMMARY

The overall role of maintenance is to address and maintain the entire plant. This includes performing preventive maintenance, installing, and repairing the electrical systems. The maintenance team is a vital part to improve the safety, productivity, and quality of the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintains and performs troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical aspects of mills on site, including conveyor systems, press breaks, printer, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and calibrate equipment as needed.
  • Reads, edits, and creates PLC Ladder Logic as it relates to the operation & modification of our production equipment.
  • Able to perform circuit analysis and wiring
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical controllers/boxes
  • Adjust, reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)
  • Follows appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards.
  • Proficiently follows all procedures per the Company Regulations and State and Federal Regulations (NFPA70E, OSHA, etc.).
  • Repairs and installs the control systems to help improve the safety and productivity.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, quality checks and routine inspections of all control systems.
  • Reads blueprints, schematics and shop orders
  • Participates in the creation and implementation of training programs for other maintenance employees or operators when changes or new control systems are implemented.
  • Communicates with operators and works with team to assist with solutions or repair.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the plant.
  • Demonstrate and seeks mechanical proficiency and time management to complete assignments.
  • Organized and responsible for maintaining the documentation of jobs assigned and ensures accuracy in the information.
  • Assists in keeping inventory levels organized and accurate.
  • Gathers information for new and/or existing equipment.
  • Works with vendors and consultants to troubleshoot and repair electrical and control related issues.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Problem solver and Team oriented.
  • Able to work with people, strong work ethic, must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write and be able to stay focused.



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE



  • At least 5 years of experience in an environment with high tech machines.
  • Prior manufacturing, maintenance, electrical and mechanical experience preferred.
  • High school/GED or Trade school in machines
  • The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



  • Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals. Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.

  • Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold
  • Personal Protective Equipment required at all times
