From your PASSION to ours This position is part of a team that contributes to all system projects from conception through maintenance. The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting datacenter and branch systems solutions as well as EUC solutions. From your EXPERTISE to ours To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Design, implementation, monitoring, and administration of system related solutions. This includes technology such as server solutions (traditional 3-tier and HCI), NAS/SAN, backup, SaaS integrations, monitoring and maintenance platforms (update/patch deployment). * Troubleshooting of complex systems issues and collaboration with adjacent teams on issues in Security or Network as needed. * Management of technical projects with both internal and vendor supplied resources. In some cases, this may include needs assessment, business benefit analysis, equipment selection, low level design, and task scheduling. * Reporting of environment operational status by gathering and prioritizing information. * Maintenance and improvement of solution efficiencies and security through continuous monitoring, research, and structured upgrades. * Contribution to suitability, stability, and performance by assisting in definition of policy and "best practices", monitoring, and reporting on adherence. * Creation and maintenance of documentation on systems and processes for both internal department use and user education. * Completion of related tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission. * This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education & Experience * Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer systems related field or possess equivalent experience in IT. * CNA and/or MSCE are a plus. * A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Windows Server administration or Network administration is required. Skills/Abilities Applicants are expected to have a knowledge base on IT systems including: Strong skill required: * Microsoft operating systems * Domain services: MS Active Directory/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP * Server hardware architecture and design - traditional 3-tier and CI/HCI (e.g. VRTX and VXRail) * Office 365 Administration * VMWare including VSAN * Backup and recovery strategy (vendor VEEAM) * Storage Area Networks (Dell Compellent, NetApp, EMC) Familiarity a plus * CMP (incl Morpheus) * Power Shell scripting * Varonis * Virtual EUC (e.g. Citrix XenApp, RDP, Horizon) * Basic knowledge of switching and routing * Nutanix (File server and administration) |
