Introduction to the job

Support Continuous Improvement Project in the development and implementation of process improvement initiative.

Role and responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data related to supply chain operations, inventory management and logistics.

  • Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to enhance team collaboration and project outcomes.

  • Create reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Assist with documenting processes and maintaining project documentation.

  • Conduct research on best practices in supply chain management and continuous improvement.

Education and experience

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain / Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.

  • Experience or knowledge in purchasing and logistic in a high-tech, low-volume environment is preferred

  • Knowledge or experience procedural documentation

  • Familiar with sourcing materials, buyers, RFQ's

  • Experience or familiar with Oracle and / or SAP

  • Assertive, pro-active problem solver

  • Analytical, structure and organizational skills

  • Team player. Good social and communication skills

  • Affinity with a technical environment

  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.

Other information

  • This position is located on-site in San Jose, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
