Position Summary: Under limited supervision, perform customer service and reception duties, which require an extensive knowledge of campus activities. Additionally, support the External Affairs office with events, and community education.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities: Typical duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Proactively acquire information about every event and activity on the campus
- Provide excellent customer service for students, visitors and employees with campus information regarding classes and events
- Assist the campus with events and community education
- Assist in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the campus entrance
- Availability to work flexible hours, as needed, and to perform the duties of other employees within the department as needed due to short-term leave requests
- Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
- Respond to internet inquiries
- Schedule rooms on campus for classes, events and meetings
- Distribute inter office mail and prepare outgoing mail
- Willingness and ability to attend, participate in and contribute to a variety of campus committees
- Provide technical assistance to students, including portal, email and Canvass access.
- Provide administrative support for the External Affairs Office
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Proficient computer, internet and multi-line telephone skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Preferred:
- 1 year Front Desk Receptionist experience
- Associates Degree in a related field
- Bilingual
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to learn and apply campus policies and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the College community and campus visitors
- Ability to gather and analyze data necessary for informed decisions involving the community, students and employees
- Skills in interpersonal communications are needed. Must have the ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; to follow oral and written directions; to understand and follow safety procedures; to operate and use standard office equipment.

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is sedentary in nature and at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Work is performed during normal business hours, with some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
