Job Summary

This course is specifically designed for both new and returning Adult Special Education high school graduates. It is a non-credit program that covers six key topics: reading, writing, creative thinking, social and college campus skills, hands-on science, and financial literacy. Since its inception in 1996, our Practical Living course has been taught collaboratively by special education instructors to address the lack of support and continuing education opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.

Through the exploration of these topics, students cultivate essential emotional, social, and communication skills relevant to real-world situations. This class serves as a vital resource for both students and their guardians, fostering a supportive community environment where opportunities are limitless, even in the face of societal challenges.

Salary based on course contract.
