Position summary The Department of Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applicant for full time faculty lecturer position starting Spring 2025. The successful candidate is expected to teach classes with a focus on Civil Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology such as Introduction to Engineering, Materials of engineering, Engineering Economy, Fluid Mechanics, Technical Drawing, Project Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. The candidate will become integral member of the Civil Engineering Technology (CET)/Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) faculty, as well as the Department of Engineering Technology and will be required to follow those responsibilities outlined in the MSU Denver Handbook for Professional Personnel. Responsibilities This position will be required to teach a minimum of 30 credit hours (or equivalent) per academic year and maintain minimum of 5 office hours per week to include advising and consultation with students. In addition to teaching, the position will require applying current technical computer language/software and using other technologies in the classroom. Selected candidate should have the background to be able to teach courses in Civil Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Full time faculty members are also required to contribute to course development and assessment activities, update course curriculum and contribute to course development. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population. Required Qualifications

Salary for Announcement The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $79,000 at the Lecturer level. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.
