We are seeking a Digital Service Technician located in the Chicago, IL area.
Position Summary: Travels to customer locations throughout the U.S. to install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Komori digital/inkjet printing presses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


  • Perform on-site installation and configuration of hardware and software.

  • Performs a full range of services including equipment and workflow analysis, equipment troubleshooting, equipment repairs and upgrades and maintenance training.

  • Diagnose mechanical and system failures using established procedures and repairs as necessary

  • Provide feedback of product issues to and maintain technical communications with Technical Service Manager.

  • Acts as a communication link on unresolved technical problems/issues.

  • Maintain in-house equipment for demonstration, testing and training purposes.

  • Attend training classes as needed.

  • Must be able to travel extensively at times.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent training/experience or completion of an Electronics school or equivalent electronics training with three to five years of direct experience as a field technician.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software. CAD experience is desired.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license.
