Job Description
  • Conduct all day to day activities related to the sales function of restaurant private dining room sales with a focus on building long term, value based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.
  • Lead the pre-event planning process with client, communicate customer needs and commitments to the outlet management team and obtain signed documentation and payment from customers to act responsibility on behalf of owner's assets and reduce potential of miscommunication with customers and outlets.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers
  • Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Work with the Director of Catering and Events, Director of Outlets, and DOS to participate in development and effective implementation of outlet sales strategy.
  • Actively prospect and solicit potential in-house group and local catering programs for resort outlets, documenting plans and tracking client communication
  • Works to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment the position is assigned.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
  • Develop a good understanding of in-house and leisure demand for outlets, utilize knowledge in selection of business to pursue and negotiation of bookings to maximize revenue potential
  • Obtain excellent knowledge of outlet menus, services and potential for customization to upsell food, beverage and DMC services, again with focus on maximizing resort revenue potential with each group
  • Understands and follows resort's booking guidelines; obtaining an excellent knowledge of outlet demand and profit potential; being careful to increase resorts revenue with PDR bookings, not displace higher revenue potential customers.
  • Actively solicits booked convention groups, leisure groups and catering groups for additional revenue potential with private dining room sales
  • Develop target list of local corporate accounts to solicit for outlet event sales
  • Participates in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close business
  • Generates and executes proposals, contracts and customer correspondence in a timely, effective and professional manner
  • Gets business approved through proper channels through Director of Outlets, Revenue Manager, DOC&E, and DOS
  • Responsible for preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders, Restaurant Event Orders, Group Resumes, VIP Reservations and all service related communications necessary for fulfillment of booked events
  • Adheres to the resort's credit policy and payment practices in relation to catering bookings
  • Analyzing and Reporting Sales and Financial Data
  • Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property's financial catering goals
  • Assists Director of Catering and Event Serviceswith completing accurate monthly forecasts of prospective, tentative and definite business
  • Reviews sales and catering survey results to identify areas of departmental improvement
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies customer service and creates a positive example for guest relations
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Meets guests during pre- and post-events to obtain feedback on quality of product, service, food & beverage
  • Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of department meetings with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Executes and supports the company's Service Standards and property's Brand Standards
  • Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations; building moments into memories
  • Building Successful Relationships
  • If needed, attends customer events, local tradeshows and sales missions to maintain, build and/or develop relationships with current and future clients.
  • Builds internal relationships that enable successful servicing of booked events and are in line with resorts "One Great Team" culture
  • Participate and execute with DoC&ES, DOS, and DOSM on property events throughout the year as needed
  • Support the DOC&ES the daily business at hand
  • Work with and develop colleagues that need guidance and direction

Qualifications
  • Previous Sales experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
